Best Auto Kare — Mobile Automotive Diagnostics & Consulting
Version 12 — Sep 09, 2026
REPAIR WARRANTY COVERAGE Best Auto Kare guarantees repairs performed on a per-job basis (parts-and-labour billing), and assumes liability strictly limited to defects in materials and workmanship, for a period of twelve (12) months or twelve thousand (12,000) kilometres from the date of the original repair invoice, whichever occurs first (the "Warranty Period"). Best Auto Kare's obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing faulty materials and/or re-performing the defective service, up to but not exceeding the amount originally charged for that repair. This warranty covers both parts and labour: if a covered part fails or a covered repair proves defective within the Warranty Period, Best Auto Kare will correct the defect at no charge to the customer, including replacement parts and labour, subject to the cap stated above. IMPORTANT — B2B HOURLY/CONTRACT WORK: Services provided to commercial clients on an hourly or contract basis carry NO warranty. See Section 1.6. Warranty repairs do not extend or restart the original Warranty Period; the Warranty Period runs from the date of the original repair invoice. This warranty does not affect, and is not affected by, any manufacturer's warranty or guarantee that may be applicable to the vehicle or its parts. What Is Covered: Defects in workmanship in per-job repairs and services performed by Best Auto Kare. Defects in parts supplied and installed by Best Auto Kare, for the duration of the Warranty Period. Labour required to replace a failed covered part or to re-perform a defective covered repair. What Is NOT Covered (Exclusions): Any service performed on a B2B hourly or contract basis. Normal wear, deterioration, or aging of parts, components, fluids, and consumables. Damage from misuse, abuse, negligence, road hazard, racing, overloading, off-road use, or improper operation. Damage from accidents, collisions, fire, theft, flood, vandalism, or other external causes. Parts supplied by the customer, and all labour associated with their installation — Best Auto Kare provides NO warranty on customer-supplied parts or labour. Any repair, part, or service recommended by Best Auto Kare and declined by the customer. Pre-existing conditions identified during diagnosis but not repaired. Materials/workmanship altered or worked on by anyone other than Best Auto Kare after the original repair — unauthorized work voids the warranty on that repair. Repeat failures caused by an underlying vehicle condition rather than a defect in Best Auto Kare's workmanship or parts. Failures caused by lack of required maintenance as specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Software, firmware, or calibration issues arising from vehicle modifications or aftermarket installations by others. Towing or outside service charges for work by anyone other than Best Auto Kare. Loss, damage, or expense caused directly or indirectly by materials, equipment, or workmanship provided by Best Auto Kare, including interruption of service, loss of use, loss of business, or consequential or incidental damages of any kind. Damage to vehicle components, systems, or electronics caused by a third party or occurring after the vehicle leaves Best Auto Kare's care. Diagnostic Services Disclaimer: Diagnostic fees are charged for the time, expertise, and equipment required to investigate a vehicle's condition and are non-refundable regardless of outcome. A diagnosis identifies faults based on information available at the time; intermittent or masked faults may require additional diagnostic sessions, billed separately. A diagnosis or estimate is not a guarantee that all present or future faults have been identified. Repair estimates are based on the diagnosed fault; additional costs may arise once repairs begin and hidden damage or failed components are discovered — Best Auto Kare will obtain customer approval before exceeding any authorized estimate. Warranty Claim Procedure: (1) Contact Best Auto Kare at (778) 956-5273 or info@bestautokare.ca and provide the original invoice number. (2) Make the vehicle available for inspection at a mutually agreed location; the vehicle must be inspected and the failure confirmed by Best Auto Kare before any warranty repair is authorized. (3) If the failure is confirmed to be a defect in Best Auto Kare's workmanship or in a part supplied by Best Auto Kare within the Warranty Period, the repair will be corrected at no charge for both parts and labour, subject to the cap above. (4) If inspection determines the failure is excluded, the customer will be provided with a written explanation and an estimate for the corrective repair. (5) Warranty claims must be reported within the Warranty Period. (6) Where a vehicle presented for a warranty claim is found to have a different fault than claimed, or an excluded failure, the inspection and diagnosis are billable at standard rates (may be waived as goodwill). Warranty Terms: This warranty applies only to per-job repairs performed by Best Auto Kare and is limited to all terms stated in this document. It is non-transferable and applies only to the customer named on the original invoice and only for the vehicle identified on that invoice. The original invoice (or legible copy) is required for all warranty claims. Best Auto Kare reserves the right to repair, replace, or issue a refund for the covered repair at its sole discretion, subject to the cap. Remedy limit — one corrective repair: Best Auto Kare's obligation for a covered failure is to correct that failure once at no charge; if the same repair fails again, Best Auto Kare may elect to correct it again or refund the amount originally charged — a refund fully discharges all warranty obligations for that repair. No other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are offered. This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights the customer may have under applicable consumer protection law. B2B Hourly & Contract Services — NO WARRANTY: Where Best Auto Kare provides services to a commercial client on an hourly-rate or contract basis: Best Auto Kare operates as an independent contractor, not an employee. Hourly and contract-billed services carry NO warranty of any kind. All return visits and call-backs are billable at standard rates, including a minimum call-out of one (1) hour plus travel time. The client is responsible for verifying parts compatibility, final repair quality control, and vehicle delivery condition. Per-job B2B repairs (parts-and-labour) are covered by the standard warranty above; hourly/contract work remains without warranty. Written exceptions in a work order or service agreement govern for that identified job only.
GENERAL TERMS OF SERVICE Application: These Terms of Service apply to all customers of Best Auto Kare, whether personal (retail) or commercial (B2B). Provisions that apply only to commercial clients are identified as such (B2B sections); all other provisions apply equally. Where a personal customer authorizes work on a vehicle they do not own, they represent that the vehicle owner has authorized the work. Authorization to Perform Work: Best Auto Kare performs work only with the customer's authorization. For B2B clients, authorization may be given verbally, by email, or through a work order issued by the host facility. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the person authorizing work is authorized to do so on behalf of the vehicle owner. Work authorized by a representative of the customer is deemed authorized by the customer. Best Auto Kare may request signed work orders. Estimates and Approvals: Estimates are provided in good faith based on diagnosed conditions and are valid for 14 days. Best Auto Kare will not exceed an authorized estimate without additional approval. Where additional faults are discovered mid-repair, work will pause and the customer will be contacted for approval before proceeding. Approval delays: all time spent waiting for estimate approval — on site, by phone, or by email — is billable at standard rates. Where approval is not given within a reasonable time, Best Auto Kare may cease waiting, release the vehicle, or reschedule, and any return is subject to the minimum call-out charge plus travel time. Delays do not extend the 14-day validity; an expired estimate must be re-quoted. Payment Terms: Payment is due upon completion of services unless a written account agreement provides otherwise. Accepted payment methods are those stated on the invoice. A service charge of 2% per month (26% annually) may be applied to overdue balances, or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is lower. The customer is responsible for all costs of collection, including reasonable legal fees, on delinquent accounts. Location of Services: Best Auto Kare provides services at a personal customer's location, at commercial shop facilities (B2B), or at facilities rented or operated by Best Auto Kare (including weekend shop operations). At customer-controlled locations, the customer is responsible for providing safe, legal, and appropriate working conditions. Certain services cannot be performed at residential or outdoor locations; in that case the service will be rescheduled to a suitable location, with any return subject to the minimum call-out charge. Best Auto Kare may decline or reschedule work where conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. Vehicle Custody & Storage (Repairs at Best Auto Kare Facilities): Where a vehicle is left with Best Auto Kare, it will be stored, moved, started, and operated only as reasonably necessary to perform and verify the repair. Best Auto Kare exercises reasonable care but is not responsible for failures unrelated to the repair. The customer should remove all valuables; Best Auto Kare is not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle. The vehicle must be collected within three (3) business days after notification that repairs are complete; vehicles left beyond that may be charged storage at the posted daily rate. Where a vehicle is delayed because the customer has not approved or declined a delivered estimate, storage charges begin to accrue three (3) business days after the estimate is delivered. Uncollected vehicles and unpaid accounts are subject to Best Auto Kare's rights under the Repairers Lien Act (British Columbia). Customer-Supplied Parts: Where the customer supplies parts, Best Auto Kare provides NO warranty — express or implied — on either the parts or the labour. Best Auto Kare will exercise reasonable care in installation but assumes no liability for the quality, condition, compatibility, fitness, or performance of those parts. Failures of customer-supplied parts, and any damage caused by them, are not covered and remain the customer's responsibility. Where a repair cannot be completed because customer-supplied parts are incorrect, incomplete, damaged, or unsuitable, all time spent — including waiting, teardown, reassembly, testing, and travel — remains fully billable at standard rates. Return visits are subject to the minimum call-out charge plus travel time. Vehicle Condition: Best Auto Kare is not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or faults present before service, nor for items declined or deferred by the customer. The customer represents that they have the legal right to authorize work on the vehicle presented. Right of Refusal: Best Auto Kare reserves the right to decline service on any vehicle for any lawful reason, including unsafe vehicle conditions, unsafe working environments, requests for illegal or improper work, or vehicles for which the customer refuses required safety-related recommendations. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Best Auto Kare's total liability arising from or related to any service performed is limited to the amount actually paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Best Auto Kare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct. Client Indemnification (B2B): Where the client is a commercial client, the client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Best Auto Kare from claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by the vehicle owner or any third party arising from: warranty/guarantee representations made by the client; repairs/modifications performed by the client or third parties after Best Auto Kare's services; parts supplied by the client or vehicle owner; or the client's own quality control, record-keeping, or vehicle delivery practices. Collection & Repairer's Lien Rights: Best Auto Kare reserves all rights and remedies for unpaid accounts, including rights under the Repairers Lien Act (BC) or the Personal Property Security Act (BC), referral to a collection agency, and the right to require prepayment or payment on delivery for any client whose account has been delinquent. Governing Law: These terms and warranty are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties attorn to the jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia. Severability & Entire Agreement: If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. This document, together with the applicable invoice and any signed work order or written account agreement, constitutes the entire agreement and supersedes all prior discussions or representations. No verbal statement modifies these terms. Best Auto Kare may update these terms from time to time; the version in effect on the invoice date governs that service. The customer's authorization of work acknowledges that the customer has read, understood, and agrees to these Terms of Service and the Repair Warranty. Best Auto Kare — Care Beyond Repair.
